CHS START DATES FOR STUDENTS: ALL CHS students will report to Cosby High School by 8:15 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 3rd,
for their first day of school, dismissing at 1:00 p.m. Both breakfast and lunch will be served. Busses will also be running.

FRESHMEN SCHEDULE RELEASE/FRESHMEN ORIENTATION:
All rising 9th graders will have the opportunity to attend Freshmen Orientation from 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm, on Wednesday August 1st, 2018 at Cosby High School. During this time, freshmen will be able to pick-up their schedules, tour the school facility, and receive locker information. At 4:00 pm, during this day, students and parents are invited to attend a freshmen powerpoint presentation, outlining graduation requirements, early post-secondary opportunities, Aspen Parent Portal, and other important high school information.
RELEASE OF STUDENT SCHEDULES for 10th-12th Grade: The schedules for 10th – 12th graders will be available for pick-up at CHS on Wednesday, August 1st, from 1:00 p.m.– 3:00 p.m. Parking passes and locker information may also be obtained during this time. Please note that August 1st is the ONLY available day for early schedule pick-up. If a student is unable to attend, they will receive their schedule on the first day of school, August 3rd. Students may also access their schedule via their online Aspen account, once they have been released. Students MUST have clear accounts in order to receive their schedules (i.e. they must not owe books, calculators, uniforms, etc. from a previous school year.
Counselors will not accept requests for any schedule changes before the first day of school when the period of DROP/ADD will begin. Students will be able to request changes by completing a DROP/ADD form when they return to school. These forms will be available for pick-up from the counseling office. Deadline for submitting all DROP/ADD forms regarding student requests for class changes will be Thursday, Aug. 9, at 3:30 p.m. Examples of changes that are not typically granted include, but are not limited to, changing in order to have/not have a certain teacher, changing lunch periods, wanting to be in a class with a friend, dropping/postponing a required course, etc.
